I love her mastery of different textures and the contrast between the rings. The sculpted, clay like texture of mine really speaks to me coming from a family of potters, and its counterpart has an intricate, delicate and mythical feel. Visiting Alison's studio and hearing about her processes really brought to life the skill involved in making these pieces by hand as well as the love that she puts into her craft."
